FLUPOL is a member of the Technical Committee (TC) 194 on Nanotechnologies, created by the PToNANO consortium through the IPQ (Portuguese Institute of Quality). The purpose of this technical body is the development of standardization documents and issuing regulatory opinions in the field of nanotechnology. Parties with interest in a technical field within the scope of action of this body, can participate on a voluntary basis.

One of the major defies presented in iba 2015 was a revolutionary engineering concept in the construction of molds for baking industry.

STEEL PROF is a “spin-out” of FLUPOL resulting from the verticalization investment made by the company in 2003 enlarging its operation in industrial baking market with capacity for design and construction of internally developed metal molds.
With the awareness that the skills generated by this project transcended by far the specific needs of FLUPOL, it was decided to empower this metalworking activity allowing its access to broad sectors of markets with strong need of its technological and professional excellence in sheet metal working.

TALUS is an associated company with FLUPOL, focused on the development of advanced and flexible industrial robotized solutions.
The main products offered by the company are: 6D-Mimic, a programming by demonstration system for robots and LeanAGV, low cost easy-to-install AGVs.
FLUPOL became an effective member of the Network Association for Competence in Polymers (ARCP – https://site.arcp.pt/) and moved its materials development laboratory to ARCP’s facilities in the Science and Technology Park of University of Porto (UPTEC – https://uptec.up.pt/).Read more
