FLUPOL with this project intends to present a paradigm changing product to the baking industry: modular baking pan, with the following advantages:

• Save space in customer facility: stock molds, not sets;
• Increase production efficiency:

Substitute individual molds when necessary, automatically on the production line;

Sets will always be in service;

Customer will always use new molds, eliminating recoating and refurbishing costs, and taking advantage of longer coating durability in new molds;

When one mold is damaged, the customer can substitute it, not the entire set;

• Contribute for CO₂ footprint reduction: substitute 1 truck for 1 pallet and eliminate two-way transportation.

FLUPOL, in April of 2015, submitted a patent for this solution: PAT.PEND.108376.

The main aim of this project was to develop nanocomposite polymer coatings for tribological applications. These coatings were developed to provide dry lubrication with low friction and high wear resistance in situations where conventional fluid lubrication is impossible or undesirable (e.g. vacuum, chemically harsh environments, extreme temperatures lower than -20 or higher than 200 ° C).
