FLUPOL’s intellectual property protection policy for coating development is firmly based on industrial secrecy. For mechanical and robotic systems the intellectual property protection policy varies. If a developed system will be widely available and is easy to copy, the privileged policy is patenting; whereas for systems developed for use in internal processes the policy is also industrial secrecy.

The present application discloses a modular baking pan which intends to solve the problem of simplifying the maintenance for the baking subunits.

This modular baking pan comprises a plurality of baking subunits and a frame; wherein the frame is designed to accommodate the baking subunits using non-permanent mechanical connections allowing the simple removal and replacement of the baking subunits on demand.

This solution can thus be used for commercial and industrial purposes.

Patents

The subject invention relates with a system of capture of movement based on stereoscopic vision. This system uses two or more cameras for detecting and positioning objects in space using the same principle of human vision.

The invention has as main advantage to allow the detection of a set of points in the space instantly and at a very low cost. Most of the systems of movement capture present high costs both in software as in equipment, requiring specialized operators, factors that make the use of these systems prohibitive for small companies.

What did this invention represent for FLUPOL?

FLUPOL was the first Portuguese company to adopt a robotic manipulator that uses artificial vision to reproduce human movements, applying the technology of this invention.

More than a saving in terms of years of training required, this system prevents specialized workers from performing repetitive manual tasks that can cause injuries, and minimises situations of contact with environments (paints, solvents) which can be  potentially harmful to the health of workers. Therefore, the expertise of workers is used without the constraint of reduced physical capacity. All this increased the productivity of specialised workers.
