Una superficie con baja energ\u00eda libre no puede ser mojada por una sustancia de energ\u00eda libre superior. Los pol\u00edmeros fluorados est\u00e1n entre los materiales de baja energ\u00eda libre de superficie conocidos, as\u00ed como entre los m\u00e1s inertes, lo que explica su renuencia a ser mojados por otras sustancias.<\/p>\n<p>En condiciones de servicio sin embargo, la energ\u00eda libre de superficie de un determinado material var\u00eda, lo que obliga a m\u00e1s consideraciones que pesan en la ingenier\u00eda de un recubrimiento.
