The laboratory is equipped to perform polymer solutions and dispersions, nanomaterial milling, dispersion and stabilization as well as to perform advanced microcapsule synthesis.<\/p>\n<p>Coating testing is performed by assessment of surface energy, optical microscopy, cross-hatch adhesion and abrasion resistance. For coating developed for tribological applications, exhaustive tests at multiple P.V (pressure x velocity) combinations are performed in a servo controlled tribometer according to ASTM D3702 (thrust washer) and ASTM G99 (pin on disk) standards.
